Helena Lucas and Alex Hamel help the BBC’s Mike Bushell go foiling for the first time on an F101!
We had a great time at Netley Sailing Club filming a feature with Mike Bushell and BBC Sport News. The main angle Mike was presenting was how new foiling boats are becoming more accessible, and within reach of most sailors.
PRODUCTION UPDATES
We are delighted to announce the first four boats will be coming out of production at the end of July!
Thank you to Harken! We have been working very closely with Harken yacht equipment to change the F101 custom fittings into production items.
Thank you also to Hyde Sails who have continued to develop the rig by changing luff curves, panel layouts and detailing on the sail attachment points to make them as user friendly as possible. On the accessories side they have also been developing our top and foil covers which are now in their production design versions.
MAKING MOVING THE F101 EASIER
Moving the boat on dry land is an important aspect of using the F101, the Combi trailer has now been developed as well as a standard trolley for shipping boxes. In addition we are looking into the roof rack version and potential of a lightweight alloy version.
FOILING WEEK UPDATE
We went on a road trip to Lake Garda for Foiling Week where we were working with our Italian dealer Negri Nautica. Over 50 people tried the F101 and it was a phenomenal success! Highlights were an amputee foiling for the first time as well as youths and women who were at Foiling Week on the Magenta Project.
FOILING WORLD MEDIA MEET THE F101
The team presented the F101 to Foiling Week media and showed what a stable platform could do for people who wanted to learn to foil.
